Liverpool - the rest

Apologies for the delay but due to a dental abscess I have been out of action for a while! Here at last are the rest of the Liverpool shots.
Lime Street station hasn't changed much over the years except to sprout a few trees!

St George's Hall, magnificent as ever.

Now the town centre - that has changed since I lived at the Royal.
This is Clayton Square showing the entrance to St John's market and outdoor market stalls.

The famous Adelphi Hotel. In the past I have stayed here when attending reunions at the Royal, don't know if I could afford it now though!

Lewis department store still on the same corner but sadly inside it is not the Lewis I remember!

And how can you come to Liverpool without thinking about the Beatles?

At last signs that we may be nearing the new Liverpool One!

About the only part that is finished (although there is a crane to be seen on the sky line!) -
John Lewis.

The rest seems to be walkways and steps and a few shops but many empty units and bevvies of workmen hopefully trying to get it finished for the grand opening later in the year.

Liverpool One is the new shopping and leisure district due to open in September 2008. You will need hiking boots or a buggy to get around it!
