Guess where?

For all robin photos please refer to Sarah's site. I give up as all mine turned out blurred.

Arrrrrrrgh!!!

Big Brother is watching you.

This was one of the really friendly Hebridean flock - loved the grass and a stroke!

And this is the leader of the pack who head butted me!

Schools out!!

Some mums and their babies.

The nursery is now open and you are able to see all the stages from eggs in the incubators, through the hatching proccess until they are allowed out into the big wide world.

Nursery babies.

I think these ducks were heading towards Hilda Ogden's house! Maybe only us 'oldies' will remember these.

I took these late at night from the computer room window - just wanted to experiment with differnt settings! You can see all the lights from the Hesketh Pub accross the road.

Sunsets (yet again)

Sunset over Billinge.
Had to bribe this bird to do a 'fly past'.

The following photos are not for the faint hearted!!

Just my luck - have been out to take a photo of the moon (have to keep up with Anya you know) but all I can see is cloud sooooooooooooooo - here is one I took earlier! Not quite the same with a blue sky though is it?
And for the technical stuff - focal length 200mm. F/5.6 and exposure time 1/500 sec.

Home sweet home

Today's challenge, apart from actually getting out of bed, is to stalk our own garden to get a photo of a robin. Who ever said that robins are sociable, friendly birds needs to spend some time in this garden!! It's amazing what else you find lurking in the under growth though.

This is our cistus - but I think ours must sadly be of the cheaper variety!!

Oops where has that come from?!

Bits and bats - well no actual bats!

Bottoms up!!

Still on the lookout for fingers.

5 in a bed!

Our "Jollies"

The sunset from the shore near to the van on the first evening of our jollies!

The causeway at Knott End.

Looking from Knot End towards Fleetwood.

The ferry leaving Knott End to return to Fleetwood.

Looking from Fleetwood towards Knott End.

Sheeba leads the way back to the van, I think she may have been more interested in her supper than the actual walk!

Our bolt-hole, don't think you can quite see it though!! It's the last one on the right

Our garden

We found this baby sparrow sitting in a plant pot as if it was having a well earned rest!

Moth morning

Unfortunately the moth morning was a bit disappointing. Apparently during the night we experienced the wrong temperature, the wrong lighting and to cap it all a wren also entered the moth trap and dined on half of the exhibits!! So - I have just 1 photo of a pine hawk moth -

Never mind we did manage to see some other interesting extras!

this is of course proof of where we were!

Sadly not one of my best photos. You will have to have a look at Sarah's blog I think she had a really good photo of this fox cub.
