The disappearing raspberries!!

Now I know the raspberries are a bit puny this year due to lack of rain and hardly worth picking but I would like a few please!!!!

Later on even when the sun was going down she was back again, I'm sure she was guarding that one she was stood near. She was waiting for me to turn the other way!

Our garden robins

Whilst sat in the garden this afternoon I noticed a robin kept flying past then perching to watch me for a minute or two before disappearing into the honeysuckle bush. I can only presume that they are nesting in there somewhere which now means that I will have to take extra care picking the raspberries which are right next to the honeysuckle. I suppose it's better than a few years ago when they chose to nest in a bag of compost in the greenhouse!

Greater Flamingoes 29/5/10

This just about summed up the day - rain, rain and more rain!

There are now 9 Greater Flamingo chicks and one egg left to hatch. They were huddled together by the adults trying to keep them warm and dry.

Now if only I could do that with my neck I would be happy!!!
