Spring at last
Spring has sprung at last!
Sadly that means that the whooper swans at Martin Mere will soon be returning to Iceland.
Lichen found at Martin Mere and a 'phonescope'.
A friend has passed on the 'lichen' bug to me!! I never knew they could be so interesting and unlike wild life they don't move when you try to photograph them. Below is a selection of jam tarts!
We've now found a great device which fits on a mobile to take close up photos without the conventional camera.

Yarrangall Green Farm Frodsham
I stayed here with a friend when we attended our 50th anniversary of the year we commenced nurse training. It's a lovely farm house in the countryside outside Frodsham. It's a working farm, they make their own jams, jellies, honey and cordials but still find time to run the B & B. The breakfast was delicious and all homemade.
The bee hives are just visible under the trees.
The friendly geese (?)
There were 2 ponies who were very friendly.
The view of the grounds from one of our rooms.
