Martin Mere in the fog

I was at Martin Mere last Saturday and it was the w/e for the boys with their toys (i.e. model railway and boat exhibition). It was extremely cold and misty and although we had loads of visitors going out to the hides I do wonder what they saw out there! The flamingoes were shut in yet again, poor things.

Frost, frost and more frost!!

The frost is back again and although I hate it it does look lovely on the plants.

I managed a walk today with Sarah, Ethan, Sheeba and Poppy and of course the camera. We didn't go too far but I have to admit to falling asleep as soon as we got home!!!!

Happy New Year to everyone.

I've had flu (not of the swine variety) so have been holed up for the last 8 days!

The last time out was to Crosby Garrett on 30th December. It was a very cold, dull day so not the best for photos.

I even had a few days away from Ethan, he's since told me that he missed me terribly! So today we had a chat and took a few photos. I do hope I've not passed anything on to him or his Mum but I suppose time will tell.

Snow, snow and yet more snow

Yesterday we awoke to a blanket of snow, it wasn't a total surprise as it had started the previous evening -

My handyman cleared the drive despite the fact that I am going nowhere on my own!!

We had our own news bulletin from around the corner -

Then with my chauffeur I did manage a ride up to Standish along with my camera -

Ethan's first visit to Martin Mere

It was a cold but dry day and we managed to get as far as the swan link hide. I don't think Ethan was too impressed with his first outing to see the swans, in fact he slept through the whole visit.
