A welcome change in the weather and Martin Mere comes to life! The breeding season starts, the black swans have 2 cygnets and the black neck swans have 5. Others are pairing off and busily making their nests.
The black swan cygnets were born mid February -
Almost a month later they are swimming happily with parents.
The black neck swans had their cygnets next and these 2 enjoy a free ride.
