Not many pix today as Sarah and I actually went to have a chat about voluntary work at the Mere - did I hear you say "phew" ??
Great excitement - 4 beavers were released here on Wednesday but haven't been seen since!! Well I exaggerate a little they have been seen late in the evening when all the visitors have gone home. They are now burrowing below the water line, it is hoped they don't burrow under the fence and out onto the main road just outside their enclosure! They have come from Germany and been kept somewhere in Devon for 6 months quarantine so they are now enjoying the freedom.
Anyone for mushrooms?
The flamingoes came really close to us today.
Then all of a sudden we had a nature lesson!!!
Still no beavers to be seen!
