Covent Garden and Camden

There is always something to see in Covent Gardens.

I see flat caps are back in fashion!

I have my wedding outfit apart form the footwear, think I'll come back here when I'm ready to buy!

The choice is amazing

Not too sure about this security office!

There's my boots again.

A stroll down Carnaby Street

We had a stroll down Carnaby Street to do some window shopping but I'm not sure about some of the food on display! We found my very own cafe which seemed reasonably busy but it was far too hot to go in for a cup of tea.

London Wetlands Centre, Barnes

We managed a morning at the London Wetland Centre. Anya had warned me that it was nothing like Martin Mere and she was right!! Firstly you aren't allowed to feed the birds and apart from the parakeets on the wild side and a few ducks in the collection you were left with only the gardens to admire! Oh and of course the planes cruising overhead at least one every minute. I think the highlights for me were the statue of Sir Peter Scott at the entrance and the abundance of butterflies and the five spot Burnet moth. Now I know why Anya always likes to visit MM whenever she comes up to Wigan! One thing I did notice is that their hides are extremely well maintained - you could almost eat off the floor - but give me MM any day!!

London by night July 2010

I at last made the effort to visit Anya for a w/e, she has been asking me - no pleading with me for a while now! Anyway the first day I arrived early evening and after eating we went into London to take some night time photos. Now Anya is expert at this and I have always envied her photos but here are some of mine, not quite as good but I like them!
Thanks for having me to stay Anya I really did enjoy it, hope you have managed to get rid of the wasps nest!

Mummy Robin

Well despite the new ginger tom next door (bless him but please could he have a bell on his collar?!) our robin is still around. She is still flying around and perching before going back to the honeysuckle but what worries me is that she now doesn't seem to be taking food back. I don't want to go too near in case I disturb the nest. I watched the other day as she tried to scare a female blackbird away from the raspberries - good one, keep it up!!

Come on mum where's the food?
